Down at the D.M.V. today to register the Buick. A young "New Australian", (let's call him "Ngyuen") comes in with the assessor. The assessor says, quote word for word, "you've passed, but you're not a very good driver" WTF!?!?! He is now sharing the road with me, friends, family etc. Can you imagine- You've passed, but you're not a very good surgeon. Here's your scalpel, good luck.
Everyday I see people who aren't very good drivers - yet they obviously passed. One almost hit me today. I guess everywhere you go, things are the same.
Thank god that you lot are driving on the wrong side of the road mate !! :beer If he wonders off on a long stretch of road, at least he will end up on the side of the road that's right for cacky hander Oz style driving    But good to hear that the old Buick is registered now, nice clean personal Garden State plates on it now ?
Of course he is a bad driver, it requires great skills to control a car from the passengerseat uzzled: My gf is pretty good at it and my mother in law can even do it from the backseat
Yeah, nice shiny new plates for now, the pesonalised ones will come in a few weeks. "The Garden State" is now "The Place To Be" The damn plates don't fit the U.S. plates recess in the bumpers though.
Bad driver with a (or maybe without a) CDL did this to me yesterday. Pushed me into a 3" curb. He was driving a dump truck and decided it would be prudent to swerve into my lane as I was next to him, I was going into a turn lane. I had go to sideways to avoid my car being crushed - I could've reached out and touched the truck if I had my window down.
I love to follow my mates from N-America after they're leaving Schiphol National Airport in their rental cars here in the Netherlands. We just know what 10 inches is, apart from the women in N-America.....   With a Dutchman up your bumper when you're doing 80 mph, you will learn what the real world is about........ :bglasses: :bglasses: :bglasses: All N-Americans get a new sense of driving here in the real world
