SCO on vin tag? ( not mine) intrested in the color...

    Seen this 71 Skylark ...loved the color...
    A light blue almost , a Grabber Blue or Petty Blue...
    Asked about the color..
    He mentioned it was

    SCO -304-B

    Not on any color charts....

    Any ideas.....?

    My understanding/observations is that if it was an available color, just not on an A-Body, is that the color code would be there (the firewall chalk mark would be "SCO"). This would've been a non-Buick color and other than matching it from a non-worn/repainted area I don't believe there's a way to find out what it was originally.

    My Rally Red 70 442 had dash marks where the paint code would have been.

    I believe the only way to tell the color of special order is paper work or an original spot of paint on the car.

    The most accurate color on this is take off the genders and look at the side cowl panels. It’s probably never been exposed to light.

    Funny, I had a real 70 W-30 Rally Red convertible. It had one dash and an A for white top. Strange they didn’t put a code on them. I think it was code 73? I know it’s special order which was bunk because it was an Olds color only with about 4 others.

    Correct it was 73. Mine had no top so two dashes.
