I'm searching for a particular '70 GS Stage 1 in the West Memphis, Ar. area that I used to own. 4-speed, white over red, white interior, black dashboard-steering wheel and carpet.

If you have any information on this car, PLEASE e-mail me.

    Thanks!

    Hi StageWon -

Welcome to the V8Buick board. We're all pretty friendly around here and it's appreciated if you sign your posts with (at least) your first name so we know who we're addressing.

Send me the VIN and I'll check if the car is in the registry - 455stage1@comcast.net.

    Again, welcome!

Hey Marco, thanks for the help. But I have a question. If I can remember correctly, it was either 1977 or 1978 when I sold the car, and I can't possibly remember the VIN#. Any ideas on how to trace it down?

So far, I've been back to West Memphis only a few times looking for my car, and those searches only included hunting for old phone numbers, (no luck there), and cruising the streets and (Oh Heaven Forbid), the salvage yards. Still no luck.

Granted, there ARE other GS's out there that are available. Near my home, there's a salvage yard that contains a white '70 GSX that's looking for a good home and someone to love and care for it. I've only heard about it, and haven't actually laid eyes on it yet, but that may be the "BBB" in my future. The "X" cars were the only rides I liked better when I terrorized the streets back then. And even then, only because they looked so cool! I don't think they would have out-performed my "baby", as a number of Camero's, Chevelle's and GTO's could have verified (I never encountered a Hemi to embarrass). The GSX would be fantastic to own, but there's nothing like having the original "War Machine" you did battle in. I'm sure everyone would agree with that.
