A car (71 GS) I'm working on has weird things at the bottom of the back seat that the seat belts plug into. For shows maybe for a nice organized look? Were they factory or factory acessories? (before I take them off and throw away)
I believe the plastic seat belt holders were an option you could get. I bought a set off ebay (one seat belt holder has two male buckles to insert and a seperate one has one opening) and installed them in my 71 Skylark after painting them to match the interior (originally they were black).
Not factory options, they are accessories though. Don't throw them away, I am sure someone here could use them. :beer
Have two sets now...are they supposed to match the interior color? Was told it was a one year only (dealer installed) option (1971) Is that correct?
I think they are supposed to be stock black. Not sure what years they were offered from the dealer though.
My 72 has them and you could buy them from the dealer or have them install them. They do clean up the looks of the back seat
>>I'm lucky in that my '72 has retractable seatbelts in the back so everything tucks away nicely:grin:
This set is marked Chevrolet but they are all the same. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-1970-7...m=232549407480&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
