Bought 4 cans of Super White and 4 cans of Landau black. Everything was within specs- such as ambient air temperature, humidity, etc. Shook each can vigorously... Began to spray and within 15 seconds, the spray began to sputter and then stop completely. I removed the spray tip and pulled a tip off of a can that wasn't used. Same thing happened. I then switched to another can, with a fresh tip- same thing... I then went to the Landau Black... Same thing. This also happened with the last few cans of SEM I have purchased.

I sent an email to their tech support and customer service teams to hopefully get an answer about their spray tips. I feel at ~ $20/ can, they should have properly functioning spray tips...

If one purchases SEM dye spray bombs, I would strongly advise buying 2 cans, some thin pins, and some lacquer thinner to keep the tips functional.. If not, you will have an almost full spray bomb that cannot be used.

I've noticed there isn't as much psi in spray bombs any more,..used to they were audible when you hit the button now they just spit ,....shoot one with a bb gun and they don't even spin around anymore,....so stupid

Same here George, I'm done with Sem. I was spraying in the Olds and it just starting sputtering and dripping down my hand, tossed it. I've had good results with Seymour paints. I have a couple cans of SEM from last year that seem to be ok, which I'm saving for the headlight bezels, but from now on it's Seymour or even dupli-color which hasn't let me down yet.

Helpful tip: If a spray can has low pressure you can use a tire valve stem and an air compressor to "recharge" the can.

It has been like that for a while. It leaves droplets or spatters about half a can.

I’ve had issues with all the nozzles for the last several years. It’s infuriating.

It's hit and miss. I'll go through 1 or 2 cans that work fine, then one that splatters and clogs. Doesn't matter the brand, SEM, Rustoleum, etc. I've taken to buying 2 cans whenever I need one can since there's a pretty good chance one will clog. Got a box of nozzles that have been soaked in lacquer thinner and blown out at 150psi. Replacing the nozzle doesn't seem to help, I think it's something about the opening in the can. Got a couple of cases of 25 year old Wal Mart spray paint that i never seem to have an issue with.

Sad to hear - I've always bought SEM because of the reliability.

I use dupli-color all the time, never had a problem.

They did a perfect color match on my Honda sport mirror. Vet

Erin Brockovich hates your spray cans... But loves the money lawsuits bring... About $10,000,000. and still earning.
