I am selling 3 73 455s and one 70 455. All are complete and turn over, not seized. $500 each. The nailhead is also complete, but I don't know its condition. Its complete including ac compressor and brackets. That's a different story though. That's not mine and it is going to get scrapped if not spoken for by Tuesday. I can pull it out and save it if someone really wants it. Guy wants 400 for it. Please let me know asap of interested so I can save it. I have a few pics of it I will post tonight.
I believe the nailhead is a 64. I would say it does not run. It looks like it has never been touched or opened up, but has been sitting for several years. It is still in the car, underhood, air cleaner and all. I have no idea exactly how long its been sitting. The 455s also have never been apart, but were running when pulled, except one that I pulled having no history on it. Looks promising though. Everything free, air cleaner still on it, and decent looking oil on the dipstick.
Pics of nailhead. I also attached a few pics of the car in case I am wrong about the year. Maybe someone can recognize the interior. Power bench with the cig lighter in the back may be a clue? Ignore the first pic. That engine is sold, added by mistake and having trouble editing from my phone.
Interested in a running 455 do you have one? How much and where are located can respond to patriots123_4@yahoo.com if you want. Bob
I have 2 that are running, other 2 i would bet run, but can't guarantee it. I am in Aberdeen Maryland, about 1/2 hour north of Baltimore.
Can you tell the letters right behind the water neck on the block right in front of the valley pan? I don't recognize that alternator bracket. Trying to figure out if its a 401. Thanks
Unfortunately i am not close to the car and can't get to it until maybe Monday. I'll see what i can do.
I'm thinking '61-'62 ---------- Post added at 01:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:02 AM ---------- then again looking at the dash & steering wheel, maybe a '63
