Well......it looks like I'll be sending my second carpet set back! The molded one-piece carpet I got last month was crappy, then I ordered this sewn one because it was supposed to be bound on all exposed edges. That turned out to be just the front edge and the edge that overlaps the rear carpet. I don't know where they get their blueprints from, but the factory cuts that were made in this thing are way off. The part that goes over the transmission hump has about 2" of too much material, and the rear set is about 2" too narrow. And the material is cheap as hell. Can someone recommend a good company to order a carpet from that is a MOLDED 2 piece set and has bound edges? I don't care how much it costs, I just want a good one. ou:
Auto Custom Carpets has the original loop material and molds. They are the in Anniston, Ala and recomended by Duane who was in the business for many years. http://www.accmats.com/
Thanks for the link Jim. :TU: They run $231, but as long as all the edges are bound and it fits well it's worth it to me. My old carpet never really fit right either. I'll call them on Tuesday....they're closed tomorrow for the holiday. :bglasses:
I got mine off of eBay. I have yet to install it because I found a small spot thats going to need fixed in the floor-pan and im still trying to decide between fixing the spot, or replacing the floor pans period... This one came as a 2 piece set. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7945822253&category=33697
Joe they raised their prices recently. Ken Lisk got their carpet through a discounter like A1 carpets. Ask him for their address. Same carpet just not direct.
