I hate like hell to do this... over a year ago I paid a premium for a very nice console that was 100% complete. It came with a box that had the shifter, shift rod, and every single screw that went to that console in it. I guess when I told that idiot auctioneer that I was loosing for the console it was permission to sell the shifter and all the hardware! Now I've been sitting on that console for the better part of a year... I dropped it off at my mechanics the other day for installationaand guess what? NO FRIGGIN SHIFTER! So I guess I'm looking for a shifter and rod. and any console screws I can come up with. thanks.

    I have a rough 66 shifter.
It would need to be rechromed Im sure and base cleaned up with a blaster or wire wheel.
I believe the rod is still attached also.
Probably more work than u are looking for but i thought i would mention it

Sorry to here you sold the shifter by mistake. It was a very nice piece. What trans are you using? Reason I ask is you could use a 65/6 and a Shiftworks cable system and not need to cut a big hole for the shifter. If you are using a T400, and a 65/6 shifter, the best way is to use a Shiftworks kit. Thanks Bill.

thanks, it's using the st300 for now and getting a shiftworks w/ 4 speed gate plate for the 4L60 this fall. could I just put in the shiftworks cable without the gate plate for now? I'm concerned with the 65-66 shifter looking correct.

The shifter base is different for the 67 from the 65-66.

so I should use a 65-6 shifter with the cane conversion in the 67 console? is that correct?

Chris that is a tough call. I am not an expert on the Shiftworks kits. I do see they make a complete shifter less the knob, price is not to bad. It states it works with T350 and 4L60. Must have to change the shift plate. I know the 67 shifter was the same for 300 and 400 in 67 only the rod and lower arm different. Should be able to use this Shiftworks shifter, get a 64/7 knob and use the T300 shift plate with the T300 and when you update you will only have to purchase the new shift plate insert for the 4L60. Maybe someone else can chime in if they have used the shifter or kit. Thanks Bill.

there shifter is $375, the cable and gate plate kit is only $180. and then I'd still need a shift knob.

looks like all I need is a shift knob. I'm going with my shiftw0rks shifter.

If you're looking for a stock shift knob, you can use one from a earlier Riviera. I bought one from ebay (listed as a Riviera 63, 64, 65). works and looks perfect on my 67 console shifter. Supposedly 64 and 65 wildcat is the same...but can't confirm that.
