Shortening the front bumper.

    Please move this thread if this is the wrong place.

    My front bumper of my 73 centurion stick really far out. It looks like its designed to be modified to go back in, but before i do anything time demanding i wanted to ask here if you guys know of some brackets that could replace the ones that are there now?

    As you see, the bumber is mounted on a cylinder on each side that is mounted to a solid bracket. By the looks of it, it should be possible to change these out to something shorter if not make your own and be able to push the bumber more towards the car.

    You can remove those bumper "shocks"....drill a hole in them...let the fluid out
    and then weld them in place...you will gain 3-4" back by collapsing them.

    Blue collar Buick build on musclecar@www.powerblock tv.com probably in the 2010/2011 episodes they did a complete nip and tuck on a century front bumper...might be worth a peek..
