Sick of big $$$ for overflow containers?

In '92, I swapped out the original 350 from my car for a '74 455. I sold the 350 to my buddy for 50 bucks, and his '65 Skylark went like a scalded cat when he freshened it up...till a con rod came out the block. Told him to look at the bottom end.

Anyhooo, my radiator fan shroud wouldn't fit anymore, after the swap. What to do, what to do... Well, the donor Riv has one, right? And guess what? The '73 Riv that the '74 engine came in had a perfect shroud that fits my '70 Skylark like a glove . And as a bonus...the Riv used a shroud that had the over flow on the passenger side molded into the shroud, and the washer fluid reservoir molded in on the right. If you don't care about 100% originality, or want a slightly custom look under your A body's hood, check out an early '70s Riv's fan shroud. The radiator core support brace interchanges, too. So, if you need an overflow, or a fan shroud, check out the Rivs in the recycler's (hate the term junkyard).
