Wanted to go to a more retro look (like day 2 stuff) on my 70 Skylark and thought I would look for some aluminum slots for my car instead of the more common Draglites. Boy,was I dreaming when I thought I could find some decent ones for $100-$150 buck range.. I guess they are really bringing some good coin now.To think I had 12 of them when I owned my Olds..Just wanted to get some 15x6 and 15x8's just to look like they belonged on it..

been looking for period correct for the dragster. halibrands are 2k and up for a pr. found 15x12 hali alums, not even mag, and they wanted 2k.
everybody thinks their parts are worth big dollars. all you have to do is look here.

Agreed... Even the cheaper Fentons are $300 a pair Last year we got a pile of aluminum wheels from an old garage.2 were the old magnesium 14x7's Another guy we know seen them ad offered $150 for them..We was planning on selling them to him for $25 bucks till he offered. Even the Spyder wheels are pricey..

well it pays to look. ppl can ask anything, and if they happen to find an ass that fits the seat they laugh all the way to the bank

That guy is probably buying up all the slots locally on Craigs then trying to flip them on Facebook to a wider audience.

Had as et when I was a kid on a 68 Jav. Sold em and regretted it. Found another set at the very right price and ran em on the Riv for awhile. I'll just hold onto them.

7DB27999-D336-4F2B-AD0C-729EA71759B5.jpeg I am a big fan of the day 2 aluminum slot wheels. Mine are very close and I have never seen another set like them so I can’t justify a change.

I love the aluminum slots too, my favorite since I was a kid. I ended up buying the modern day version from Cragar for my 70 lark.

dragster uses 15x12, 3 1/2 backspace. 15x10's are common and actually too narrow for the m/t's

guys, your way off. it's 15 x 12's with 3.5 backspace. big problem is the 3.5 b/s. have to pay EXTRA to make this.
    btw, this is pat's thread.
