Hi newbee here!! Just got into buicks and picked up a '71 skylark with a two barrel set up . Are all buick small block intakes the same? This car definitly needs a four barrel and DUALS!!
    Thanks JKaz

    sbbuick My driving scares people!

They will all work, but I'd go for a older intake without the AIR emissions and EGR BS.

If you have the cash, I'd really step up to a T/A intake.

I have a 4 bbl intake of the 71 era if you are interested. Been boiled out, bead blasted and painted and cured with duplicolor 1608. $50 plus shipping.

Thanks Guys. Hey Tomking how much is shipping to 07054? I found one in the bone yard but they want $50 and it has to be cleaned up. Its on a '60 something lesabra, not sure of what size motor but definitly its a small block. Yours sounds like the easy way out!! Got any pics? Email me at jjkaz@optonline.net.
    Thanks JKaz

sorry to butt in here but what exactly would it take to upgrade the 350-2 to a 4 bbl? can you just bolt it up and bam you have a nice increas in HP? I'm looking at what I can do to a 69 4 door skylark I may buy and I have not done extensive work on small blocks before.

    thanks,

    Heath

Well it is nearly that easy. You must get a 4 bbl carb, 4 bbl air filter, and bolt those on too.

    Dont forget

Also if you're lucky enough to find a donor car in a parts yard dont just grab the intake, but the throttle cable bracket the throttle cable and the carburetor too. 68 to 71 are the preferred intakes but I prefer the 68 to 70 only as they have the easier to replace choke. 71 and later have that dreaded choke thermostat gasket that is mostly impossible to find. In my case I have both the T/A and a poston aluminum intake. :Brow:

thanks guys, so that company you mention sells complete kits for this upgrade as an option other than pulling something from a junk yard?
