Adam, This car can satisfy your desire to buy back your old 4 door and have a fun summer convertible cruiser! 72 LeSabre This car has had the top cut off. It was a 4 door hardtop. This was used in a parade last summer, and that or parts is about all it is good for. It was painted cheaply over a somewhat beat up body. It has a 350 engine and seems to run and drive OK.
Lincoln had 4 (suicide)door convertibles on a unibody construction in the 60's. <img src="http://www.classiquecars.com/67linc12.jpg">
I've seen 2 of these for sale near me in milwaukee. sigh... if only to have the money... both were baby blue one had a busted back window motor.. (the motor is required to open the back door with the top up.) step 1. push door button (like an A body) step 2. wait for window to roll down 3 inches. step 3. finish opening the door. Nate
I need to get a digital camera, if for no other reason that to post a picture of the 'machine' at my dad's place - (it was free!) Picture a multi-colored '62 F*rd Falcon 4-door that had back half of the top, the trunk lid, and all the horizontal metal around the trunk cut off with a carbon-arc torch, prolly the messiest way there is to cut sheet metal. Can't open any of the doors, they're welded (slagged, actually) shut so that the body doesn't fold in half. From 100' away, it looks like a Ranchero, but when you get closer you see right quick that it's a real live beater, used for hauling barbed wire, hay, feed, firewood, and/or whatever, or just chasing jackrabbits around the pasture. :beer :Brow: :eek2: :gt: :spank:  Once every 5 years, Dad hoses it out, just for good luck, and we changed the oil last year. Durned thing just won't DIE, not that my brother and I didn't try real hard a few years back...:blast: James
