One of the things I don't like about GM cars of the 60's is the door hinge, latch, striker combos. I'd love to update how the doors close on my '66 Riviera. Beginning in '71 the strikers had a plastic composite material to meet the door latch which presumably made door closing smoother and quieter. Has anyone tried to update the latch / striker combination on the 2nd gen Riv? That is will the latch and strikers interchange from '66-'70 to '71-'76 which I believe also interchanges with Monte Carlo '73-'76 and several other GM applications in the mide 70's?
