So guys, how was the PRI show, did Bobb get pushed around, or did he do it on his own? Did you find us some helmet deals or what ever? Wondering minds need to know, did you see all the Buick people that were going to be there??? Etc. Just bored and thinking about you all! :3gears: :beer :blast: :Dou:

    Hi Roberta,
I thought that PRI was good. I spent the entire day there friday. Must have walked miles and miles. So many side rooms, it was dificult to try and breeze thru it all. I missed the guys from AM&P, but I did meet up with Bobb, Geoff, John and their chassis guy. (Sorry I forgot his name). Bobb was working out the details on a helmet deal. Looks like he will come up with some good deals for us. I will let him respond with final results. By the way, Bobb sure is looking good for all he's been thru! A strong will and a lot of heart sure will prevail!
I also met with Dick Bradshaw and looked the block over pretty well. All in all it looks pretty darn good! Saw some things that need changing or correcting, but nothing that can't be easily fixed. That's to be expected on the first prototype cast. I gave him my thoughts on the sales end of things. I told him that I think there are a lot more Buick people that will step up and spend the money, once they "SEE" and "HEAR" results (meaning a successful race season with some major abuse to the block without any block related problems). All said, we will eventually have a good race block, we just need to be patient a little while longer.
I did make some other good deals and met with some of my suppliers. I had an enjoyable time and plan on going to PRI next year in Orlando. Thanks, Steve

Hey Steve, good to hear you saw, the Bobb, and made some new connections. I think we need to charter a plane to Orlando next year for the PRI, either out of Detroit or INDy, Just a thought, R

His name is Tim! I went to his garage with Bobb to see Bobb's new tube chassis GS. Tim gave me beer! I'm now Tim's friend!

    Tim!

Easy for you to remember his name! If he would have given me beer, I would have remembered it too!! :beer

Hey, I think you might be onto something! Everytime that I meet a potential customer, I'll tell them if they buy me a beer, I"ll remember their name! Sounds like a "WIN-WIN" situation to me!!!

I haven't finalized any deals yet but I should be able to get it done this week I hope. I talked with the big three safety company's all were ready to deal and I have to touch base with them this week to get a final number but I think you all will be happy with what I have as of now. I have to say that my butt got soar sitting all day while John, Tim and Geof pushed me all day long  :beer :Brow:  . I talked to more buick people than ever this year it was cool. Had dinner with Charlie Evens and the whole crew from AMP. We really worked over the new block and ideas for it was great fun.

    Hi Bobb,
Glad to hear that you had a good time. I was like a kid in a candy store. My Chevy buddy that was with me gave me a bunch of crap, telling me that I must have went back to the Bulldog booth about a dozen times. (It was only about four times!!) He said I was paying homage to the new holy grail. (Maybe he wasn't so far off?)

Sorry that I didn't get to the "Crab House", but we were absolutly exhausted! We were up at 4:30 AM and on the go ever since. We stayed at the Holiday Inn by the airport, and we just didn't feel up to driving clear across town. (poor excuse I know!!). In retrospect I regret not going! Oh well, next year in Orlando we can all get together for sure, as it won't be a one day deal for me.
