Selling my extra 68 steering wheel, in good used condition. No hub or horn button, sorry. There are cracks at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions as seen in the photo. Otherwise in nice shape. Spokes are straight and wheel lays flat on a flat surface. If I had time to play with it, I'd buy a wheel repair kit and fix up the cracks and have a real nice wheel. Price is $125, includes shipping in the lower 48 states. Located in Fargo ND. Paypal preferred. Reply here before making other contact.
Re: 68 sim. wood sport st wheel Dave, I am interested in the wheel for my brother. Shipping cost to the Twin Cities? Sent PM.
Re: 68 sim. wood sport st wheel Thanks Wheelz. Will see if Chris' brother has a decision soon. Sounds like he's trying to mix-n-match some 68/69 stuff.
Re: 68 sim. wood sport st wheel David, Go ahead and let it go to Wheelz. I think my brother wants to get one that is all 1969 to 70 instead of the mix and match... Thanks though!
Re: 68 sim. wood sport st wheel David... As per my PM, I am going to research repair kits for the simulated wood wheel. I am still intrigued however, should someone else jump in on a deal before I get back to you with results of my findings, go right ahead and sell it! no worries. :TU: Meanwhile, I'll ask around my local Vette guys... :beers2: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Re: 68 sim. wood sport st wheel David- Just curious- is this an original 68 wood wheel, or a repro wheel? If it's original, I am interested. I found some extra $$ for a wheel since we last emailed about this. Thanks very much. Randy
Re: 68 sim. wood sport st wheel Randy, this is OEM, not repro. Thus the cracks. Please also note, these were not real wood, they are simulated woodgrain wheels.
Re: 68 sim. wood sport st wheel David- I'll take the wheel. I know it's 'simulated' wood- hopefully, I can repair it at some point and locate a horn button for it. I have the 68 sport wheel hub already. PM or email me with your paypal info and I'll give you my shipping info. Thanks. Randy Brooks
Re: 68 sim. wood sport st wheel PM coming, thanks Randy. (just wanted to be sure you caught the sim. note, someone else had missed that)
