I hate to see anyone encourage thread deletion. 1) It is easy enough to update title so we all know it sold. 2) When threads are deleted, mods invariably get asked where did it go. Just makes more work for them. 3) Good to have history for setting prices on stuff you want to sell or buy.
Last time I updated my for sale post with sold, I received a PM. Wont say who its from, but this is what it said. "Thanks for doing this. I wish more people would update their items on the "header" post. Makes it a LOT easier for looking. Thanks again!."
Whats the point of shouting at STEVIE WONDER ? I try to at least notify that its sold or delete the thred altogether before the MOD GODS see something naughty (should that be the Mod Squad?). "So students, If the first party (we'll call hm "A") asks about shipping cost versus party "B" showing interest and "C" saying money sent where does that land the coefficient of "A" A+B(A-C)-B A- "Hey Stevie,,, sure like those roses on the piano..." B- "I'm interested" C- "How much is shipping?" A-"Hey I was in line first" B- "HUH?" C- " I wasnt interested except for a picture" D- "Are those tulips on the organ still for sale?? E- "Those are chrysanthemums." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NEW WORLD ORDER... How much for those plug wires? Where/how do you want your money sent? Anyone remember reading want ads in the paper? First come, first served, cash only. Period. ws
Hey Steveie Wonder! Gsxer (A) got in line asking how much shipping would cost and I (B) got inline after him. (A) bailed making me (B) next man up. We agreed on a price via "PM" and I (B) announced "I'll take it" on the 4 sale post. Done deal no more letters. Rod even updated the post title as "SOLD". Why all the bunched up panties on this? You need to go back and have someone read to you all the posts since you obviously can't read.
Buzilla's description of the process is exactly in compliance with board rules. One does not have to write "in line" to be in line -- asking about shipping, weight, condition, color, whether it would make good wall art, etc. is enough. First in line is the person who first expresses interest in purchasing in some form or another. (Commenting does not count, i.e. just saying "whoa -- way cool!" or "never seen one of those before", etc. etc.)
