I was in the Tampa LKQ junkyard last Sunday and saw this very solid, very rebuildable 60 Buick Lesabre. The doors all opened and closed like they were new. All the body panels were there and solid. Both bumpers were present and driver quality with typical wear on them. The enginge, interior, headlights, taillights, and windshield were missing. I wanted to take it home. The only body damage I could see were a few ripples on the passenger rear quater panel and the very front of the hood had a little damage. The hood and right front fender were removed, but leaning up against the back of the car. If anyone needs parts off this car, I could pull them for you, if you aren't local, and work something out.

That is an Electra Sedan. I bought a lot of parts from that car. I see that the engine is gone. I am glad someone got it,as it is a very good engine. The car has only 80,000 miles on it. It was a very loaded car. I got the complete a/c system, grille, posi rearend assembly, front brake drums, dash pad/glove box and the speedo cluster and some misc. trim. I can't believe that someone junked that running/driving car out. Thanks for posting here about it:TU:

I stopped in the LKQ today and got the power brake booster/master cyl. off of the '60 Found out the car was from Missouri originally. Originally painted Titian Red with a black/gray cloth interior. Equipped with a 6way power seat, power windows, Wonderbar radio, air conditioning, dual exhausts,3.23 posi rear axle,EZ Eye glass for options.

Junkman, do you remember if the rear bumper was any good (if it was still there)? Most of these have 'old-school tow truck' syndrome and are bent.

    Have fun!

The rear bumper is there(in the trunk) and in good shape.

Hmmm. If it is not bent, I wonder what the shipping to Kansas would be.
