    Those wheels look great!
But lowering it 2" might make the tire fit even worse. You better do a test by having some friends sit on the front to lower it 2" then checking tire clearance. Do that for the back too.... put friends in the trunk and take it for a test drive.

I run those same wheels except 18x8 fronts and 18x9.5 rear. I have about a 2 inch drop all the way around. Ive run several different tire sizes due to rubbing during hard braking and turning at the same time. Found 225/45/18 works best up front. Running 265/40/18 out back. A 1.25 inch sway bar up front helped fix the rubbing issue also.

It took me several attempts with combinations of drop spindles and springs before I gave up and got coil overs and regular spindles. I had too much invested in the wheels to give up.

Oh, I love the wheels on there - great choice.

I'll take your word that the combo will fit a 70 skyalrk. Just afraid it will not fit my 66. I pit my 18x8 upfront and it looked impossible for me. Even if i reduced the offset 1/4 in. But man, I really wanTed 20s at the rear and 18s up front

I love the car. So what size tire are you running on the front and did you go ahead with the 2" drop in the front.

i actually put 17s in the rear and 16 up front. dropped it 2 in and it rubs in the front when i turn the wheel. even worse when i have a passenger. going to raise it back up and inch.
