Since I haven't been able to work on any real cars lately, I've taken up building a few models: A '70 Stage 1 two-tone Aqua Mist / White... My '87 GN as it spent most of it's life with GNX wheels and no emblems...
I'm working on that same 70 GSX kit. But, I am building Granny's Grocery Getter, no ps, pb, air, with bench seat, Chevy 6 cyl. engine, 6:95/14" wheels & tires. I'm sure you get what I'm talking about. o No: I'll post pics when I get a little further. Keep up the good work.
Cool build Jeff. I know it's not very Buick of me, but I always thought those 6cyl's were cool. I'm also working on a flat skylark hood that I'm hoping to resin cast for any Skylarks I'd like to build. I don't know that I'm for tackling the grille though. I'm also building a '81 Regal Pace Car from a GN kit and an old NASCAR kit for the early header panel and some other stuff.
It actually is "very Buick" of you. By 1970, Buick had sold the design for their V-6 to Rover and had no 6 cyl to use. So, they used the 250 cu. in. Chevy inline 6, instead.
I have a couple of Buick projects I am working on: Guy's Reynold's Buick Stage 2 race car a 66 GS pro touring car planned: my 70 GS Stage 1 as it came off the showroom floor Brad's 70 GSX prototype a 72 GSX Stage 1 Suncoupe I will post up pictures as soon as I get my lazy butt to remember to take them. LOL Tim
Yup... that was me on Scale Auto. Now that we're starting to come out of the deep freeze, my thought have turned to 1:1 cars and I've spent more time here than there. When I saw this forum, I figured I'd share.
