    Finally Got 'em home.

Man, what a headache lining up that second truck...

Anyway, I have what I want home. When we cleaned all the crap out of the 64 Skylark we found the instrument cluster. If it stuck on impact, they hit the pole at 55 mph. Odometer reads 3,540 miles!! No wonder there isn't even surface rust on those rear quarters!! Trunk floor is just as solid. Nice bonus - perfect backup lights. Not sure I'll keep those. My 65 is a total stripper & I kinda like it that way. Some of the interior trim is ok, I'll keep that & get it posted for sale soon.

I pulled the tan 64 rather than the ratty red one. It was just easier to work with where it was parked. As I said earlier though, its too nice to just yank the motor & dump the body. I'll be posting it in the for sale section as a 'for trade', look for it there.

I worked over the dipstick on the 66 again. Still couldn't get it to pull out. Its warm enough up here now there shouldn't be any ice in the oilpan, so it must just be rusted into place or something.

I'm done with what I'm going to pull. I'd like the wagon cuz its cool, but I have to look at reality with how many toys I can have...

The name of the place was/is West River Auto. They're located about 15 miles southwest of Mobridge, South Dakota on Hwy 20 going towards Trail City, then south on Paradise Road. You can't miss it. Their farmyard is right on the highway & you can see the cars across the road on the hill.

Like I said before - they don't sell parts. They have no real employees to go pull parts or anything. As I understand it, its the family of the guy who used to run it just selling off whats left. Complete cars only. $150 with engines, $100 without. Ya, that's it.

    Have at 'em boys!!

Oh, and if you know any early 60's Pontiac fans, you should point 'em this way too. There are a few straight Catalina's, Bonny's, & a couple of GP's.
