The W-31 Killer 315hp 410 Ft-lbs torque. This thing is King Kong of torque among small blocks:eek2: just like it's big brother 455 is to the Big Blocks. Painted, engine machine work done, but have plenty to do, plus lot's of stuff to buy, and no money left to buy stuff with.:ball: Not to mention, we have a Chevelle to assemble in the next month, start to finishou: Before and after color change.........................
wow, a skylark with pontiac wheels and no doors, man that is just something you dont see everyday....that would be neat.
But you'll need these And don't bother bringin' her back here...I'm selling this S*#t hole and buyin' me a condo.....
I love the green TA's! Was that an option on Buicks?o No: Brian, go get a copy of Legendary Ford at Borders, you're in it.
Just remember ..... There is the Son of Kong, and then there is King Kong. Who's your daddy ?? :Brow:
Right from the producers .... ".....The Son of Kong is portrayed as considerably smaller than his famous father" Script writer Ruth Rose intentionally made no attempt to make a serious film on the logic that it could not surpass the first. She stated "If you can't make it bigger, make it funnier." Touche' :bglasses:
The Buick 350 has been the Rodney Dangerfield(no respect) of small blocks for years. Benoit holds the quickest small block crown with the Lt-1 Vette. My only real goal with this car and engine combo, is to make a Buick 350 run as quick as it can within the rules. While the heads aren't the greatest thing I've ever seen, it does produce a good amount of torque at a relatively low rpm, and we all know how much of a difference using NHRA specs can help in the compression department. The Buick 350 has some pretty decent exhaust manifolds, almost carbon copies of the ones on the 455. A TH350 trans, and a 4:10 geared 10bolt rear. All this in a manual steering, manual drum brake, bench seat, radio delete skylark with 14x6 inch wheels. Whatever it run's, it run's. We shall see:Brow:
I am looking forward to bringing my 1970 Buick GS Stage 1 conv and seeing your 70 350 car run hard Tom See you soon Rich
Hey Tom, She looks to be about the same weight as some of those Corvette's that run each yearou: . Just put a chain across each doorway, and your good to go. Just kidding, car looks great. See ya in September:beers2: . Long live Kong...... Joe X.
ho ho ho The dreaded curse of calling the NUMBER. What will it run.!!!o No: Your screwed. Now you've got to guess!! Sorry it's the rules. It's kinda like I double dog dare ya..... So Tom what will it run??????p uzzled:
Over the years, I've found that it is best to keep your expectations low and be pleasantly surprised. We've got a while before it's going to be race ready. I don't think it's going to be done by this September, unfortunately. I'm just trying to be realistic, and with being busy at work, and having my brothers Chevelle to help finish, I don't see the time to finish mine right now. Anyways, I'm not throwing out a number:moonu: My guess is that it has the ability to run within a tenth of what similar weight, 350 powered GM A-body's run, or have run in the past.
