The Sonomatic AM radio in my 68 Skylark is not producing sound. The light in the face turns on when I turn on the radio, but no sound comes out. I have searched under the dash to see if maybe the radio is disconnected from the speakers, but I have not located any unconnected wires. Could someone please tell me what I am looking for under the dash or if another probelm exists. Thank you, Jacob
Try a different speaker first, I have found several friend's cars that the speaker was blown. If that doesn't work, it's probably the big transistors for the amplification. I have several '68 Radio's if you don't get it to work.
Jacob , I had the same problem ... light but no sound . I bought another speaker 4x10 (see link to have an idea how to install new one)replacement speaker Now I have sound but no light o No: as my light bulb went out this summer .
