I've got a 325-350hp 350 with an HEI and accel coil and wires. Should I be gapping my plugs wider than stock? I know the stock specs for my 71 350 weren't for an HEI dist.
I think I'd shoot for about .045"....no need to try .060" like factory HEI's had. At the very least, get a Crane adjustable vacuum advance unit. Ideally, you should have the dist. recurved for a performance application.
