Specs 1972 Buick Skylark 350ci

    How's it going? Can anyone tell me what the factory specs are for a 1972 Buick Skylark? How much HP? Thank You

    4bbl motor should be around 195 hp @ 4000 RPM.

    with dual exhausts also.

    350 Cid V8

    In 1972 the 2bbl motor was rated at about 155 HP
    the 4bbl was rated at 175 HP

    In 1970 before the change in how HP was measured
    the ratings were 225 and 250 as noted above. :grin:

    Sounds like Buick was more honest than most in advertising the real drop in horsepower from 1970 to 1971 with the change to low compression. Or was the 1970 number overstated?

    I could never believe the 71 Olds 442 W30 numbers having driven both them and 1970 W30's. Must have been more than horsepower involved there. Small blocks seem to respond better to increases in compression. Big blocks don't seem to need it.
