    Early next month, my wife is holidaying in Honolulu. (I got a Buick, she gets a sunny vacation. I think I got the better deal!) I'd like to give her a shopping list of parts that may be hard to find here in Oz. When we honeymooned in Hawaii 2 years back, I saved $400 on all the window/door rubbers for my F-Series, so I think buying direct in the states may be the way to go. Are there any members in Hawaii that can help direct us?
    Stuff like points, dizzy cap and rotor button. Also, I'd look into her bringing back headers, but info is scarce. T.A. haven't replied to me yet. I probably want the most symmetrical available so that modifying them to right-hand drive is minimal. (allowance for steering etc.)

    Also, to make shopping easier, is the 455 '70 Estate simply the wagon version of another sedan/coupe of the time? So would parts like headers for GS, Lark, Riv be identical?

    Mick,

    Since you have plans to convert the wagon to LPG, why don't you buy an overhauled HEI ignition from a BBB ? Or something like a Mallory ignition, order now and let it ship to your wife's hotel.

    Mick,

    Your 1970 Estate Wagon was based on the LeSabre (124" wheelbase) and not on the Electra (127" wheelbase), but still got the Electra's 4 ventiports instead of the 3 for the sedan/coupe/convertible LeSabre. 1971 Estate Wagons were based on the Electra.

    "BBB"? "Ventiports"?
    Over my head I'm afraid Erik.
    The gas conversion may take a while, budget and all. That will require headwork.
    So, anything that will fit a '70 LeSabre should fit an Estate (Excluding trunk lid, haha)?

    BBB = Big Block Buick

    HEI = High Energy Ignition

    Ventiports or portholes:

    Traditional openings in the front wings or bonnets of Buicks.

    If so, Look for the 3rd Annual BPG meet to be hosted by me, at my own drag strip on Maui, situated on my 500 Acre estate. All expenses paid by me for anyone wanting to attend, including car shipping from anywhere on the globe.
