Does anyone know what the part number is for the speedometer gear for a 66 SP400 with a 3:08 posi rear end? Or the color? Please let me know if you have it. Thanks,
Steve, I can tell you what gear you need if you tell me what tire size you are running on the rear, and the # of teeth on your speedo drive gear. The speedo drive gear is on the output shaft of the trans. If you pull the speedo gear sleeve, and rotate the driveshaft(wheels off the ground, trans in neutral), you should be able to count the teeth. It's a helical gear, like a distributor gear. Take your time, and count several times to make sure you get the count right.
