Can anyone tell me what the hole/port on the back of 350 TA Perf SP-1 intake is for. Mine was taped over when I bought the car and pulled the motor.
SandDiesel, you may want to pull the intake and see if the grommet is laying on the valley pan. If you're using the stock valley pan gasket, it won't do any harm to leave it there if you don't pull the intake, but if you're using composite gaskets and no valley pan, you'll end up sucking oil up through the PCV. There needs to be some kind of baffle there. If you find that you don't have a valley pan gasket, pull the oil pan and make sure what's left of the grommet didn't make it down there, otherwise it may clog up your oil pump pickup screen.
Thanks everyone. Engine is fully rebuilt and back in the car so I just need the grommet. I'm only 45 minutes from TA Performance but they were closed when I called. Been there a bunch for parts but somehow forgot this. Have good Memorial Weekend.
There is a Ford grommet that works really well. The lip on top is bigger, which is a plus because it is less likely to be pushed into the intake, and the opening is a bit bigger so the PCV valve fits easily. https://www.amazon.com/Dorman-HELP-...t=&hvlocphy=9004468&hvtargid=pla-571804136135
