Hearses are always cheap American cars to buy, people don't like the idea of driving around in a car (at night  ) that carried many dead people.
Also the lack of rear seats and the fact that they are only available in white, black or grey isn't helping popularity a lot. And most models came with no options at all, I never saw so many factory radio delete plates until I went into buying hearses. But when you're looking for a low milage, well maintained vehicle, a hearse is always the thing to buy !!

We have this couple here in the Netherlands, they are on every major car meeting with their Cadillac hearse. The girl is really into Gothic stuff and for some reason she likes to lay in her coffin for hours, behind the Cadillac:

Last winter this car was in the Dutch "Pimp my ride" tv show, now it has a black paintjob with murals:

My freshman year of college I had to get a car because my Camaro's rear springs were threatening to go through the trunk.

I wanted a hearse, but my father didn't like that idea. I ended up with the Skylark instead.

I'd be more inclined not to buy an ex-ambulance. People have actually died in them, sometimes tragically. And, they have been thrashed! Plenty of tradies (plumbers, carpenters etc) use them. Couldn't see myself gothing up and laying in the back though!!
Fits my 2 bass rigs and basses perfectly for the gigs.
