Wondering if anyone has seen or has experience with the refurbished sport mirrors sold by Mirror Zone. I'm looking for a pair for my 72 Skylark, and the price seems reasonable. Dennis
Never heard of them, but BEWARE: the only CORRECT mirrors were on ONLY the 70 GSX, 71 and 72 Skylark and GS with SPORT mirror option, and 71 and 72 Olds Cutlass with Sport mirrors. Other mirrors can be MADE to fit, and look CLOSE. Usually require some custom modifications to fit. That being said I personally have found an occasional CORRECT mirror in a local junkyard on early to mid 70's camaro/ firebird. Also hear about them on 71-72 pontiac Grand Prix. 'Everybody' says NO, but I verify the casting numbers. You WILL need the CORRECT mounting gaskets (available from Duane Heckman) with the CORRECT mirrors. Otherwise they tilt funny. All that being said, it is your car.
