Sports car racing

    I've watched the sports car races on SPEED a couple of times and see in the GT class the Corvettes are getting waxed by everyone whats up with that? Mike D.

    It's a Cycle.
    GM goes out on the limb, and BLASTS everyone, then the others, Aston Martin, Ferrari, etc. works their Magic, while GM is resting on their Laurals.
    Corvette is only 1 Item in the GM "Barn" and they don't push as hard as they can.
    Ferrari used the Street Car Sales to Suplement their Racing Costs, Aston Martin did as well YEARS ago, until it fell on poor times, and was bought by Ford, as was Jaguar.
    You can go back to the 60s and see the same thing is being repeated.
    Chevy went to Lemans in the early 60s with John Fitch, & the Cunningham Team, and they did well. (not as good as the Ford Effort of the Mid 60s, but still OK)
    Later it was STILL Privateers, Not the Factory, that was winning for Chevy, although there was some Back door assistance.
