Spring installation 69 Skylark

    69 Skylark

    before i got my car someone worked on the front end and got the springs turned around.
    question is where does the bottom pig tail sit.
    the best i can figure is the right side should go to the front and the left side go to the rear. that put the shocks very close to the spring towards the center of the car

    I know they should fit into the lower arm where notched but the detent has gone away due to improper installation for so long.

    Drain hole still there in the lower control arms?
    End of coil should be within 1/4" of hole but not covering it.
