I was changing out my gears this weekend and went to re-bearing the carrier when I noticed the bearing was spun on the carrier. :-( Can the carrier be welded up like a crank and turned back down for the press fit bearing? Does anyone have a 410409 or a 410408 GM Posi carrier they cant stand looking at anymore? Thanks, Jon
Depending on how bad the damage is or is not, you may be able to repair it. You could machine it and press on a sleeve. or You could knurl the damaged area and machine it to the proper dimension.
