Called T A today to ask if the deal extended to the TE heads,
and to my horror I was told that the new spx will not be offered for the TE set up.
I didnt get to talk to Mike or Dave. The lady answering the phone
was Virginia if I'm not mistaken.
This is what she told me I asked if the spx's were ready she said almost and that they were doing the 350 intakes first and the 455s to follow soon after.
My next question was about the track eliminators which I should have read the add closer in the first place. dah
Then I asked if the spx that I'm very high up on the waiting list for would be offered for the TE's. She placed me on hold to go in the shop to the tech person. she came back and said no it will not be offered for those heads. :ball:
Jim W please tell me that info is wrong!!!!!
I think that would be a killer set up.
Dont think I would be willing to wait this long for the spx and not get it now. but 330 cfm out the box sounds so good.
Oh well SE's here I come as soon as I stop procrastinating.

it is true this intake will not be avalible for the high port heads i tried to get one for my stage three stroker. talked to mike himself and he didnt see the point because the sp2 is just as good.I might have to go with the original plan of the indy dodge intake.

if you really want to go that route get out your wallet i have done flow testing with both sp2 and the indy manifold ,up to a certain lift the sp2 hung on really good to about .450 lift almost no loss when bolted to the head, however the indy never dropped off all the way for as high as we lifted the valve and flowed 98% of what a killer set of stage 3s . another thing to consider is your combo it goota be high compresson big cam more cubes lots of stall speed and gear or it will be a turd with this intake, because the runners are huge.if you want to convert you need adapter plates water mods and angle milling probably 1500$ plus a intake , wich you can get from indy cylinder heads.

The SPX is not that hard to convert for high port heads. I think this is where the difference between the old cool runner and the TA intake comes in to play, with the higher performance of the bigger heads. A little welding and grinding and the SPX will work, a lot less effort than the Indy intake.
