i wanted a 400 instead of 300 in a 66 skylark gs. i live in columbus ohio. i called fowler engines here in town. i asked who they recommended. the guy gave two names, mike at metro transmission and steve wright. mike was too busy to do the install, but did do a rebuild on a 65 bj 400. steve wright did the install with myself helping. steve did a great job. mike put a 350 rear in the 400 so i could use my original yoke. steve cut the brackets on each side for the crossmember and welded them back. we had to cut the exhaust and reweld them together so they went thru the crossmember. the driveshaft needed cut, but for a extra 90 bucks i got a new one. steve painted the brackets and when you look underneath, the car looks original. the tranny shifts smooth. i can not say enough, how good it was to have mike and steve work with me on my vehicle. any one in columbus, ohio. i would recommend these two guys to do work for you. they will get my business again. sorry for a long post. i also thanked fowlers for the recommend. jim
