If you don't do it now,You'll wish you did in the future...... Order them with the 11/32 guides and consider a larger than Stage1 intake valve.(I think a 2.160 is what guys were doing w/their max effort iron S1's)
Rob, Yes, you can get the standard 3/8 stem, and 2.125/30 seat. But Gary is right.. 11/32 valves, for a race application are nice.. not so much a flow increase, as a reduction in valvetrain weight, and valvespring requirements, for a given cam. For a performance street motor, I typcially stick with the 3/8 stem stuff, they work just fine in those applications. Between the 3/8 and 11/32 stem, your only looking at a few numbers, flow wise.. Hi Guys, Rob.....go here, http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=230505#post230505 , for the flow numbers I've gotten so far on my TA Stage 1 SE's using AM&P's 2.160" intake and TA's 1.755" exhaust valves. These are both 11/32" stems. A tall-port head like the TE should be able to be made to flow in the at least 360cfm range as my SE's are flowing right at 340 @ only .550 lift with little more than bowl blending, chamber unshrouding and thinning of the "port intruder" (head bolt boss) to increase the cross section area!:TU: Hope this is of some help to you.....
