I have my set of TA Stage 2 headers for my car and now I am at the point of getting them powdercoated 2000* heat powder. I am torn between Silver or black for them. I plan to try to keep the heads, intake (SPX) natural, but if I have to,i'll have them coated to match my timing cover and SP1 I have on my current motor. I am leaning on the silver to look like these parts below. What would you choose for color? 16174581_1173665932683028_9159504437821152212_n.jpg

I think the same as the intake would look great..

I would go with silver. Also helps reflect light where things are dark.

I was thinking the Glacier Silver (Satin Finish) for myself. Something about red and a silver color incorporated on parts down low in the engine bay just pops better to me with black inner fenders.

I thought black as they sit lower and would be not so noticeable, but everything on top as well as the pulleys are aluminum so the silver is winning

I vote silver. Had my headers ceramic coated by aesthetic finishers, some of the best money I spent.

just talked to my powdercoater guy in Sunbury,Pa and he told me $160 for the silver high heat 2000* coating. He said many of the circle track guys get 3-4 years out of theirs but most of the time it's because the stones and dirt pounding on them..He has 6-7 colors. I may go silver or gray.To do my SPX will be $60.I will be going next week to drop the headers off.His time is 7-14 days at the time.

Here is what black looks like off 264/322 when painted black with BBQ grill paint. Don't have pic on engine. Grill paint will be chalky flat but easily buffs to shine with paper towel. Haven't installed yet, may chalk flat again after heat of running?

Having trouble learning new site for posting and uploading pics. Not sure what is showing up on thread.

Reloaded pics to media section and updated links. TJ55 4-21-2017

Decided I am getting the headers done as well as the SPX intake. The heads will also get the same treatment I think..

Good choice. I coated my Stage 2 headers silver at the same time I did my intake and thermostat housing. I love the look and would definitely recommend going that route.

I would go with the silver, and I would like to suggest New Image Coatings,in Struthers,OH. They have a lot of colors, and so far,the best stuff that I have seen. They literally coat the inside of the header, not just stick the nozzle in there and hope for the best. They cap the collector, fill the tubes up,then drain. It's about $275.00 for a set of headers like what you have.
