I have a scoop I got from I think Poston if I remember right in like the mid or late 90's. It went on the shelf and now I want to run it on a flat hood. Well the scoop is made to follow a Skylark hood with the raised rib in the center rear. It sits flat along the sides but there is a gap all along the back, highest in the center. Who has remedied this on their car? I searched many, many threads and can't find an answer to this. I was thinking maybe make a spacer (wood?, aluminum? I am afraid using filler it will just crack) to put in there and run maybe shcs (allen bolts) through both the hood, scoop and spacer with fender washers underneath. Or, maybe use a slide hammer or something to move the hood's sheetmetal up at the rear of the scoop? I don't want to just have it supported just along the sides. Any thoughts / suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
