i know that i see a lot of fellows here talking about gs wagons. where there gs wagons built 70-72 ? quantity ? i saw a wagon cloned up (?) at a local carshow last summer. had a variety of gs parts that did not match up.
I've never heard of a factory GS wagon. Since the parts (for the most part) interchange people take the GS parts and put them on the wagons. Makes them more sporty!
No GS Wagons ever that I know of.....but Beth sure has what one would look like Interestingly.....Hurst Olds did do a couple of H/O 455 Vista Cruiser's for track duties
Thanks Alan, I knew I liked you for a reason p Kurt built one hell of a nice car, I'm just lucky enough to able to enjoy the work of art :Brow: I really like what he did with the interior, buckets, long console, tri gauges, etc. Beth
Well, no factory GS wagons that I know of. I have seen a few made into them however. Close calls to a factory GS wagon: 1968-69 Sportwagon 400. Same motor as the GS.(except in a "full-figured" body shell) 1970 Sportwagon - you could order the 315HP 350 out of the GS in a Sport Wagon with the high performance group. My 70 Sporty is equipped like this. 315HP 350, HD suspension, Posi, High Performance group and a 3 spoke Rallye steering wheel.(Sloan Documented). Here also, too much car, too little motor. I wish they would have made a Sportwagon 455 in the same vein as the 68-69 Sportwagon 400. Now that would have been a cool tow vehicle!
Out of any of the cars I have done, my Stage cars, my Judge, you name it, my wagon has gained more attention by far. I have won a trophy with it at every show I have taken it to, and for a fraction of the investment that I had in some of my other cars. Taking it to Bowling Green last year was a real riot. You get some interesting looks rolling by traffic at 80+ in a wagon. Tony
Yea Tony, you have one sweet sporty. :Brow: I saw it in the sun at one of your shows and the paintwork is mesmorizing :eek2: D.
Wagons Rule!!! I want my 68 Sportwagon back!!! :ball: I still know who has it and I will get it back! I should not have sold it. Oh yeah post 1,000 !!!! :eek2: AL.
Sportwagons are awesome. When I start adding a collection together-I'll need one of those for sure :bglasses: :3gears: :TU:
