I'm looking for a steering box for my 71 Skylark. After 30 years, its loose as a goose and down right scary. I currentlly have the granny box, with a about 37 turns lock to lock. I want to improve that ratio, but with what box? Will a 2nd-gen F-body box fit? Anybody have any ideas? Thanks, Joe

    Look here:

Also, a '70-'81 Trans Am box will work but will increase your turning radius. Nothing drastic. Look under the Whoa and the Sway on this BB and search steering. There are boxes out there that are better than the Monte.. Cherokee. Ask on that forum and you might get a complete list of interchangeable boxes.

Best box is out of late 90's Jeep Grand Cherakee (sp?) There are a lot of post on this in whoa and sway.
