steering problems

    i have a 67 riviera my steering has some play in it . when i say play i mean to much. :eek2: some shops tell me its my pitman arm others say its my ideler arm. would it be wise to replace my steering box ? what can i do to corect this problem :Do No: :confused:

    The most common part to go that would cause loose steering in that car is the center link. Also, your upper control arm bushings may be shot, and the brake reaction rod bushings as well. Hold your breath on the center link though........they are tough to find. If you don't know much about front end repairs, better go to a good front end shop. :bglasses:
