Does any one know of any places that would restore a factory steering wheel?

I would like to keep the deluxe steering wheel my 71 skylark custom came with but it has the usual three cracks around the rim and the wood grain insets are broken.

    Thanks guys

I’m not sure which wheel you have but it sounds like it might be easier and cheaper to buy a used (or new) sport wheel. At least you’d have a decent wheel while you’re repairing the original.

My vehicle is equipped with the black deluxe steering wheel (1971 Skylark Custom). Ya ive been looking here and there to see if one pops up in better condition. I was originally going to go with a sport wheel but i actually really like the original deluxe better.

No it is the one on the top right of Max Damage's post.

    That's the '69-70 version.

We always called that 69,70 wheel the air bag wheel, along with the nipple cap hubcaps. Real common on everything in the day.
