I was wondering if any of the racing Buick guys run the slip- fit
2 1/4 headers on there stg.2 motors?? I know TA usually stock these, how do they work, what year car are you running?? If ya have pictures, please send me some, I have a Stg. 2 motor going in my '65 and looks like I'll have to have custom headers built ($1500) but TA Mike thought his slip-fit 2 1/4 might work....
might, but may need some work. Any info. is greatly appreciated. Oh yes, when running an SFI "wheel" flexplate, does it take longer mounting bolts? Gary G

If you're going to do custom headers consider mocking it all up w/ a mid-plate as well.
Considering the cost of custom headers you might as well use stainless, that's what my exhaust is done in and it looks great.
probably a little more money but you don't have to get them coated (over $300).

Assuming you mean the bolts to mount the flex-plate to the crank,I've always used the stock bolts or an equivalent.
Just use loctite and torque them evenly.

Can't wait to see this project,I've always liked the 64/65 body styles, more than my '70 sometimes.

    Keep us posted.
