does anyone have a source for real sticky radial tires that do not have to be heated up for the street. threadway out of south carolina used to recap my radial casings and they stuck like glue without having to heat them first. they were very soft and did not last long but traction on the street was unbelievable on my high 10 sec turbo regal. they were too soft for the strip though. sadly they were bought out and i can't get a hold of them anymore.

I had Yokohama AVS sports on a car a while back and they stuck big time. http://www.yokohamatire.com/TireIntro.asp?TireID=10 When I bought the car it had Pirellis and I couldn't keep the back end from sliding out. after about 12,000 miles on the AVS's I need new tires and tryed Dunlop SP 5000s. They weren't as sticky as the AVSs but they were sticky enough and lasted many times longer and were a touch cheaper too.

You can try Hurst tires (no relation to the shifter company) out of Oregan. They recapped a pair of whitewalls for me and they said the do other tires.

I found this number but it is listed for Idaho(?). 208-536-6236. If this is not the right number let me know. I will try to find the number/info I used when I ordered mine 3 yrs ago.
