Is a STOCK crank strong enough to be machined to 3.0 mains? The question really is can a stock crank be used in a 3" main Tomahawk block? Allen
Bearing widths are different with the 460 mains. I would say no, not as simple as turning down a stock crank. If you want to use Buick stuff, then you need the specific Buick main saddle block.. I have a 503 combo going together early next year, and that is basically the 470 internals, with a 4500 bore, in a Buick crank spec Tomahawk block. JW
