Stock 70 Skylark 2.73 8.2 rear - what options for gear upgrades do I have?

    I've been shipping my axles through Fastenal for awhile now,and very pleased.Their rates are substantially cheaper than the common freight companies.
    I think it would cost about $125.00 to ship from OH to MO,but contact them to confirm. You can also go on their site and look up "third party logistics" or also known as 3PL.

    There's always Sean Ryder to ship as well...He gets out that way often..I was reading this thread and seen all the driveshaft shortening comments. It made me wonder as all I did to other cars was use the driveshaft from the car with the 8.5 rear. Even so, you could have just gotten a shorter stock unit and installed another yoke easily enough..I have about 8-9 different shafts here that are the one piece units.Easily enough to find too.. I have a 4.10 8.5 that was in a 71 GS 350 4 speed car we parted..lol
