And it has sucked for the last 50 years..

Paying an extra dollar plus a gallon for premium is really turning me off. It used to be 15-25 cents more for 93.. now its usually more than a dollar difference. My next build will probably be a 350 that drinks 87.

For sure its a terrible manifold...but the increase in prices is blowing my mind....a ls2 dorman replacement manilfold is $1k....they were $300 for ever...kerosene is pissing me off Joe...its $9 a gallon....i use roughly 20 gallons a week for the paint booth....$9 for kerosene!!! Wth

I built all my engines to run on the least quality gas available. Saves a little stress for just a little horsepower.

Whats the difference between diesel and kerosene? I'm no chemist but I seamlessly run heating fuel, off road and kerosene at any given time through my home furnace.

I'm thinking that Diesel fuel is heavier than kerosene, and has different additives.

Far as I know, kerosene has "no" additives. But I could be wrong.

Couldn't tell you..but you pump diesel thru a body shop and youll never paint a car again....those guys that pull in my yard with them chipped diesels and leave them running get a very firm education from me

more so diesel has an additive package to lubricate and keep the injectors clean. Kerosene is drier by design to burn hotter.

Looked at the prices of the TA roller rockers lately? Bought mine about 15 years ago and so glad I did.

Not building anymore 455s or any other motors, machining and parts costs have gotten Way out of control.

Not trying to turn this political but I'm about 99% certain its being done on purpose...

The mainstream stuff is still cheap....the manufacturers are not interested in brand X stuff anymore..too much $ tied up in inventory...and production let alone RandD.....that ride is over...sorry fellas its true....you will see guys using stock stuff again like in the 80s...been sayin that for a few yrs now.

Machine services have doubled and tripled for a few reasons...one being..no help...two.. Material/supplies has tripled....and they are trying to keep their bills paid...so they have to charge more.

Coincidence.....i dont think so...i see the outcome servicing one sides agenda.....the automotive market has been attacked or suffered the most from all this imo...next would be food.....

I wouldn't say main stream stuff isn't effective either an rpm air gap for bbc was 250 a few years ago, now they are over 400

Yep, I’m done playing with cars for awhile, it’s too FREAKIN EXPENSIVE!!!
Went to Quaker Dragway today, told Guy this will be it for me for awhile, yep it’s not going to get better.
People try and put a happy spin on it by saying “ Oh once the supply chain issue gets going it will be ok”
    I say BULLSHIT!
