In a pure stock engine for the pure stock races, what is the excepted stock replacement piston? trw ? Looking at the NHRA site which gives stock replacement parts they list the pistons I see JE`s Ross an other light weight pistons are these exceptable for a engine that races in pure stock?

Is it safe to say that as long as the replacement piston is a heavy as the original that its ok to use for pure stock racing? along with the compression height also. I just can`t find a clear answer anywhere in the rules.

That's correct. I've also found that just because the manufacturer is Ross, JE, etc., doesn't always mean that they are lightweight pistons.

If you have a specific combo you are looking to put together and have questions, your best bet is to call Dan Jensen directly and ask him if it is legal.
