I just wanted to say in the last few weeks there has been a great deal in my life that I need to give thanks for. My life, my familiy.my freinds. Somtimes we take those thing for granted. I would like everyone that reads this to just take a minute out of your busy day and think about those around you that might need a thank you and an I love you just because thay are there. I think we as a group forget that sometimes. I found that there were people there that cared for more than I would have expected.

To them I would like to say from the bottom of my heart

THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU ALL

    Bobb,
Considering the ordeal you have recently went through,We ALL are thankful that you are here to share yourself with us.I agree, too many times we take for granted what we have.I did that with my father and now I am paying the price for it.There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him and miss him.He is the reason that I am who I am and I took it for granted. The love he had for cars and for me makes me miss him all the more. So,my reason for being thankful is, my father and the many friends I have made on here.Have a Happy Thanksgiving and get well.

All across America, we gather this week with the people
we love to give thanks to God for the blessings in our lives.
We are grateful for our freedom, grateful for our families
and friends, and grateful for the many gifts of America.
On Thanksgiving Day, we acknowledge that all of these
things, and life itself, come from the Almighty God...

Considering all the whoopla about "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance and the new suit in some school district about banning the reading of the Declaration of Independence in school because of the mention of God, I thought it appropriate to pass along the original procalamation of Thanksgiving of George Washington. Some of you will know where I got this but that's immaterial; it's the content and context (from a Founding Father and signer of the Constitution that's under attack now). Seems peculiar that very few were ever given this to read in school - I guess the attack on God in the name of separation of church and state has been going on for 50+ years.

At any rate, Happy Thanksgiving to all and thanks for the reminders to count my blessings.

Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor -- and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me "to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness."

Now therefore I do recommend and assign Thursday the 26th day of November next to be devoted by the People of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be -- That we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks -- for His kind care and protection of the People of this Country previous to their becoming a Nation -- for the signal and manifold mercies, and the favorable interpositions of His Providence which we experienced in the tranquility [sic], union, and plenty, which we have since enjoyed -- for the peaceable and rational manner, in which we have been enabled to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national One now lately instituted -- for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed; and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and in general for all the great and various favors which He hath been pleased to confer upon us.

And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions -- to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually -- to render our national government a blessing to all the people, by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed -- to protect and guide all Sovereigns and Nations (especially such as have shewn [sic] kindness onto us) and to bless them with good government, peace, and concord -- To promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the encrease [sic] of science among them and us -- and generally to grant unto all Mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best.

I couldn't agree with you more,Bobb. I look at my health, job, friends, and talents and I thank God every day for the things he has given me.

When you have your health and God is in your heart, the impossible is easy.
