when I was little we moved into a house and my parents found a large antique sideboard in the basement left there from the previous owners. When my parents moved it they found a rectangular patch of newer concrete underneath it about the size of a “grave” according to them. We lived in that house 8 months. My dad would travel for work and my mom would keep all of the lights on and would stay fully dressed in that house. They often heard small footsteps running down the stairs but they would check and us kids would all be asleep. One night both my parents woke and saw a ghost of a small child at the foot of the bed. My dad kicked out instinctively and ripped his toe nail off. The ghost disappeared. Thirty years later I visited my old home town and took pictures of our old houses to share with my kids and my mom and sisters. The picture of that house has a face like reflection in the upper storey window....
We have a family business Beside the body shop we own an Exxon. I was standing in the parking lot. It was a Beautiful summer day. Stopped and looked over to the shopping center. And standing there ( 200 ) yards away was an old women. With a london fog light tan coat. As i focused in on her it look like my Wife’s Grandmother who passed away years before. She really liked me. It was her standing there. That instant the wind blew her scent through me.I could smell her . My eyes watered. Look back . She was gone. The old women was not there. I went back to work. The next day my wife said she had felt and thought about Grandma Funk. I told her this story. My eyes watered again. Emotional **** i tell yeah. No Bull.

I remember when I was younger, my brother and I had bunk beds. he is 4 years my younger. one night we were up later than we should be, talking back and forth quietly to not wake or in trouble from mom and dad. it had to be 1 or 2 am. I saw a little boy, maybe age 5 go running by the door at full speed........my brother asked if I saw that......I asked him see what, he said he saw a little boy go running by the door towards missys( sisters) room. we both got freaked and went to bed quickly..........a few days later I was telling my sister about, she said she saw a little boy 2 nights ago go running past her door towards our room. mom and dad still live there today and nothing else has ever been seen or oddly happened. just odd we all 3 saw the same thing on the same night.
Iv'e heard of burning sage but was also told it was not necessary just for bad spirits but also just to release any spirit so they can move on. I grew up in a home that's going on 115 years old. I heard some creeks and rattles but nothing out of the ordinary to really rattle me and from what iv'e researched I think the house was built specificly by a Priest in the day which I would think would add some strange doings. But growing up Greek Orthodox the house was always blessed with holy water and Icon's of Jesus. I have though been living in a 14 story high rise apartment building that houses alot of elderly and some handicap people and I believe this building was a hospital of some type back in the day. I had a bed in one of the corners of my bedroom and over the course of a couple years probably at least 10 times I would feel like someone pushed the bed down or sat down for a second by my feet area and it would wake me from a deep sleep. Now the thought of ghosts scares the crap out of me, but these incidence's really didn't bother me or feel like "evil"?? Iv'e also seen my cat stop and stare at a random spot and also jump of a couch or the bed for no real reason..but,,,,,,,,,, iv'e since bought a bigger bed and moved it to the opposite corner and about 4 months ago I felt a hard smack on my leg just as I was dozing off and I swear I saw a white/grey figure with long hair hovering over me at my feet. Could of been a hallucination but I do know I did felt a hard smack. This one scared me and it was in the same area of the room where I felt the bed go down where my old bed was.. A few more story's I could say from other times in my life but oh yeah there's something creepy stuff out there..
Our dogs have done the same thing on more than one occasion, they'll sit in the front room and stare towards the same corner of the dining room wall up towards the ceiling, and then do the head tilt thing dogs do, as if someone was talking to them. Id look over, and theres nothing there. Yep, theres way more going on than what we see for sure
Yup, my friend just about a month ago sent me a pic of something wicked creepy too, his wife was sitting on the couch taking a phone pic of her their puppy that was on her lap and on the pic there was a figure of a man's face and shoulder's "no arms" in color looking through the front long bay window across the room. This window was right next to the front door and they can see plain as day if someone were to be there. They were even able to look at survialence dvd at that exact time and NO one was there.. Also just look how animals can sense in coming weather or what not seconds before we can!!
Hey Demko, maybe you should have a Priest come over and bless the house and that might put your spirit to rest. My old house has 2 big 2 inch sliding wood doors that can close off the living room they are solid and heavy. There is also a wooden chest built into the wall with glass doors and big drawers below it. The baseboards are stepped and about 8 inches tall All the door frames with the baseboards and windows were never painted and are still the natural wood. you try to pound a nail into this wood and it bends that wood is like hard as a rock. The only part of the wood that was ever painted was the kitchen and the bathroom. There are 4 rooms downstairs and you can go around in a circle through the 4 rooms and there are 3 rooms upstairs plus the attic. There is a bathroom with the back porch and my grandfather use to feed some of the homeless there way back when. It is only a 1200 sq. ft. house but it is big. The house used to have gas lights in it and some of the plumbing is still in there with a gas fixture upstairs in the hallway. There is a old building in back of the house that had the printshop my grandfather had there with a tunnel that went to the house. I had to brick up the one end since someone tried to break in that way but the tunnel is still there and can get to it from the house. Should turn it into a wine cellar. I think my grandfather was making wine there and I was told they were doing some kind of numbers game back then. My grandfather got sued by Bayer aspirin company for printing small packages that could hold two aspirin and got caught doing it This was in the 30's That house has a lot of history in it and I am surprised that we do not see any ghosts in it. Now watch my brother tell me some stories next week when I see him since I said all of this. lol
We have 2 spirits at my house, they are both named Ed. They never come in the house and mostly just sit on the roof smoking cigarettes. If anything they are helpful. Close an open door occasionally or get restless if something on the g House needs repair. They mostly care about the house and not so much the people in it. We hear them move around up there and on a cool night with the windows open we are occasionally woken up to the smell of cigarette smoke. It all sounds crazy right? My wife’s mom is a medium and can converse with the dead. I was skeptical at first but she has proved it time and time again. For example she lives in Mn and us in Florida. My wife will be talking to her on the phone telling her she can’t find something and she will say “Ed says you left it near the TV in the living room” and it’s there. Cliff
Wow Fox Den's, sound just like my house I mentioned that should have some type of creepy presence.. Same 2 sliding doors that go into the walls to separate the living room from the dining room. You push the old brass button on the doors and the brass handles come out right?? Same leaded window's that open for shelves for plates and such and draws below in the dining room. Old shut off gas outlets.. Do you have a the pipe intercom thats basicly a tube that goes from the top floor to the basement with brass funnels?? Other than the tunnels and your Grampa's cool story sounds like the same old craftsmanship...
My dog Chopper will sit and stare at the corner of my living room by the front door for 15 to 30 minutes at a time. Not the door, but the corner like when you put a kid in time out. It's pretty creepy but I just let him do it. I'll take a pic the next time I see him in action.
I knew an old Italian women who could do that very same thing. Complete strangers could call her on the phone and ask her were important items they lost or misplaced were, and she could tell them where the items were without even knowing them or ever being in their house. She told me I would have a blonde haired daughter,and I informed her my wife and I were incapable of have children. Two years later we divorced and I remarried 2 years after that and inherited a blonde haired daughter. There's definitely some strange things out there.
yeah the same brass buttons to push out the brass handle to pull door closed. The piping for the gas was all steel pipes I found one in the ceiling when putting in a ceiling fan The pipes went to the basement most are still there that go upstairs from there. They must be happy at that house because the ghosts are quiet.
I was considering the thought of "other" forces at work when the Buicks don't run right, but NOW Im a firm believer that we aren't the only ones to fix or break something
Too funny!! and i'm going to ask Mark D if this counts as creepy?? My sister decided to redo the wall paper in the dining room. She ordered a flowery pattern that had to be special ordered and would take a few months to get it. The house was built in 1907 so when she started stripping the existing paper and must of went through 7 or 8 or 9 layers of wall paper and paint. She finally reached the "original" paper and it was the exact same pattern and color of the paper she ordered.. She never even touched the wall before ordering..
I believe you. This has never happened to me in 48 years of marriage. Our financial adviser bought a house in Millis, MA that had a reputation for being "haunted" . Supposedly many previous owners had seen the "ghost" of a teenage girl walking about there. One previous owner sold the house almost immediately after moving in for that reason. Our adviser has owned the house for about 15 years and has never seen anything unusual. Go figure.
The ghost of my dad has been seen in my house by multiple people. Things disappear and show up in strange places weeks later. Lights go on and off. Furniture moves and plant stands relocate to a different room when we are gone. He died in the living room 9 years ago. Latest sighting was by my girlfriend a couple weeks ago. Totally freaked her out. He tends to show up when playing music.
And there he is, right now. Been there for 5 minutes haha....he wouldn't move for I don't know how long if the tv didn't make a loud noise, my phone didn't go off, or I didn't just call him over. Kinda creepy, but whatever. He doesn't whine or bark, so I figure it's cool in a strange Shining kind of way.....
